Next week is Spring Break then the week after we will start our annual end-of-the-school-year
tournament. Try to be there - you get one half point bye, but the second absence will be a forfeit.
Ribbons for top 5 plus top U700 and Top U400. Tournament winner also gets their name on a plaque.

Congratulations to Henry Evenson who won 2 games in Saturday's tournament. His rating went down about 30 points but he remains in first place. He now has 16.25 merit points.

Test scores were not good. It's harder when the board is fuller and I don't tell you which tactic is in play. Scoring 100 + a very generous 400 pts per problem so a max of 2500 (grandmaster) if you got them all right. Then I calculated your new rating as if you got a draw against that rating.
Highest scores in the class were Miles (1100) and Zach (900).
