Tournament Update Correction

Luke got invited to play in the Tournament of Champions - the Top 20 players in Minnesota.
Luke was #20 so was the underdog in almost all games. However he manages 2 wins in 5 rounds! This was an official USCF Tournament, so Luke will get an official rating. If my calculations are correct, his USCF rating will be about 1054 - nope 963.

Congratulations Luke!

Luke had a fantastic performance in the Statewide Tournament winning 5 games and losing only 2.
He finished in 20th place out of 161 players from across the state and was presented with a trophy for being the top 6th grader beyond the top 16 and regional awards. Luke's rating went up 61 points this last week and is now at 935.

TOURNAMENT COMPLETIOIN
The rest of the tournament will be completed Sunday Apr 22 at Metcalf Middle School in Burnsville
Round 5 - if you were in the middle of your game, you should arrive at 9:15 to help set up the position from the photo's that were taken. Games will start at 9:30

If you had already completed your game, plan on arriving by 10:00 for round 6.

Also, if your chess set was left in the field house, the nice people of SCA have gathered them up and will be available when we complete the meet.
