before entering the main door, turn left and head toward the triple doors.

Round 4 - Farnsworth A vs Friendly Hills
Round 5 - Friendly Hills vs Farnsworth B
Round 6 - Friendly Hills vs ? (my guess is Farnsworth B again but if we win in rd 4 and 5 we might play Seward)

If all six players commit and show:

Tournament Saturday at Washington Tech (just west of Rice and Nebraska) Register before 8:30. If you're late you may not get paired for round 1. You will play only other students in your same grade.

Bring $18 ($20 if it's you're first tournament) and $5 for lunch or bring your own lunch/snacks.
Bring your SCA ID card if you have it. Bring a chess set.

Let's have a big turnout. You will compete as an individual, but if we have 3 or more from one grade, we have a team. Possible teams:
8th Frank, Josh, Keighvin
7th Thomas, Carter, Aiden (playing up 1 grade
5th Oscar, Lucius, Isaiah

Feb 21 Tournament at Washington Tech off Rice in St paul. Registration is at 8:30 Should be done around 3:30. See schoolchess.org for more details. Let's have a big turnout.
Bring lunch or $5 for lunch. They have pizza, hot dogs, pop, fruit, cookies etc. for sale there.
Play five games against children in the same grade. (8th grade may only have 4 games)

Feb 21 Washington Tech - State Grade Level Champ. If we have 3 from any grade, we have a team.

Feb 28 Match at First Covenant., St. Paul.  I need 6 players. Last time we had to forfeit 4 games.

March 7 Metcalf in Burnsville. Jr High Championship!

March 14-15. Grades K-6 State Championship. Grades 5 and 6 only.
