Chess Team is successful

The Friendly Hills Chess Team was successful this weekend. They had a combined record of 13 wins and 7 losses. We lost to a team from Burnsville 4-1, beat a team from Plymouth 5-0, lost to Turtle Lake 3-2, and beat Robbinsdale 5-0.
The team came in fourth place of ten teams and each team member will receive a medal.
Tom Miranda won 3 out of four games at board one. Ben Wirrer won 3 of 4 games at board 5 and Anton Proborkin won every game he played at board 5. Other members of the winning team were Frank Sullivan at board two who won 2 of 4 games and Alex Pressman at board 3 who also won 2 games.

Bronze medals were presented to Frank Sullivan and Alex Pressman who have won 10 games in tournament competition.

Also, with 3 wins, Ben Wirrer now has 10 merit points and will receive his bronze medal at the next tournament.

For those of you who played in the tournament, I added 8 points for every win and subtracted 8 points for every loss. So Frank and Alex remained the same, Tom and Ben went up 16, Anton up 24.
