WHO? If your rating is 400+ I'd encourage you to go. It will be fun! If you're under 400, you can come but it will be difficult. You'll play only other students in your same grade.
HOW MUCH? Fee is $22 ($20 for Aidan, Isaiah, and Oscar) + lunch ($5).
WHEN? Register at 8:30 Done at about 3:00.
WHAT TO EXPECT? You'll play 5 games (maybe only 4 in 7th and 8th). Each game can last up to one hour - 7th and 8th may be a bit longer. I'll be there to help you know what to do. You'll play someone with the same record as you. So for example, for round 4 if you are 0-3 you'll play someone else who is 0-3.
My guess as to results based on rating:
<400 0 to 1 game
401-600 0 to 2 games
600-800 1 to 3 games
800-1000 3 to 4 games
1000-1200 3 to 5 games
In any case, this year we probably won't win any awards. We're here for a challenge, to improve, to have fun, and maybe set some goals for next month or next year.
